The City of Mendoza

Mendoza is a city located in Western Argentina, and is the capital of the province. It has a population of 120,000 and a population density of 2,100 per square kilometer. The metropolitan area referred to as Greater Mendoza is the most important city in the cuyo region and the fourth largest city in the Republic of Argentina, with 900,000 persons, the city is located 1,077 kilometers from the City of Buenos Aires.

The city has recently been installing modern transit control technology. It has 240 crossings and they plan to install 39 more. They are in the process of installing the first CITAR Le transit computer, which will centralize 160 crossings in a first stage and 80 more in second stage.

At the moment there are 6 traficams installed, and there are plans, in the short term, to install 10 more. In the longer term they eventually plan to install 20 more.
