The system performs the calculation and classification of vehicles in representative sections of the road network, collecting information for road planning, economic studies and engineering projects.

Vehicle calculation is performed by inductive loop-type sensor detection embedded in the road. As it possesses magnetic mass due to its amount of metal, passing over the loops the vehicles generate a disturbance (or variation) in the magnetic flow, generating its profile. Thus, from the analysis of the magnetic profiles it is possible to identify speed and size, and to classify the vehicles into: categories motorcycles, automobiles, trucks, buses and carts.

Traffic statistics are automatically transmitted to the Processing Center for analysis and recording, resulting in reports that show information about the vehicle 24 hours a day and its classification with data regarding quantity, category, size and speed.
